May 24, 2007 NEWS~

The ANAFAE Website has been updated with a new look and some of the color versions of images we've been working on! The plot has taken some major additions, and we're looking at a new release - in Color - hopefully the end of this year! And the coolest news: if all goes well, we will be publishing with Praxis Comics!!! Praxis is a wonderful new "Global" publisher out of the UK, and they've been beyond supportive. Monica and I are beyond excited with this development. Look for Praxis Comics at the New York Licensing International Expo June 19-21, 2007!!

Over the last year and a half I have been involved with the efforts of a brilliant Lady named Monica Richards who is writing and illustrating an enchanting graphic novel series called ANAFAE. The first edition of Book One is available for purchase here on this site and at the The Mercyground.
Below are a two exaples of images from the book, which are the Title Page and Cover for BOOK ONE. All artwork I have done has been a collaboration with Monica as we developed the ideas for the imagery, and by her adding finishing touches as it was prepared for inclusion in the book. Always a team effort graphically aside from her own wonderful capabilities.
Many scenes and sets were explored using 3D applications I have, generating reference imagery for camera angles, props, character placements and lighting. Then drawn over for the individual panels as needed, adding details that cannot be reproduced except but by hand. There are many more books planned for Anafae, as (we hope) the character will be around for a long time to come!!
